4th Annual Committed Game Recap

The 2017 Clams Committed Game showcased 48 of the program’s 77 current verbally committed Clams to culminate the Winter CELL season. More than just a scrimmage, the game (which is now in its 4th consecutive year) pitted three Clam teams in a round robin format, with the winning team keeping their coveted Clam Committed Game jersey. This year, the Clams separated the teams into 3 cross sections.  They are as follows:

EDI – Clams who verbally committed early to a DI program (Wearing Orange Jerseys)

DI – Clams that verbally committed DI later in the process  (Wearing Green Jerseys)

DIII – Clams who committed to a DIII institution (Wearing White Jerseys)

The DI Clams ended up finishing the day undefeated, as DIII finished second at 1-1 and EDI finished 3rd.

In addition to the Committed Game, the event included a motivational speech from former Governor’s Academy head coach Peter Bidstrup. Through donations and raffles, the event also raised over $500 for local lacrosse charity Metro Lacrosse. We were happy to host a few of the Metro Lacrosse players and coaches, as they spent the day cheering on the Clams and enjoying the famous “Wheel of Lax.”

Once again, a special thanks to all who attended. Go Littlenecks! Go Clams!
