Coach Bio

Matt Nofsinger joins the Top Gun family with over 25 years of playing and coaching experience. Coach “Nof” was a two-way midfielder throughout his high school career in New Hampshire. Matt was named captain his senior year and helped his team capture two state championships. Matt began his coaching career in 2002 at Hopkinton High School. From there, Matt took over the Westborough Varsity Lacrosse program, where he coached for 6 years, winning the Central Massachusetts Championships in 2006 and 2008. Currently, Matt is entering his 5th year as the Algonquin Varsity Head Coach. Matt coached the T-hawks to victories over powerhouses such as Acton-Boxborough and St. John’s. Matt has coached 8 All-Americans and dozens of other athletes that went on to play at the collegiate level. Last season, his team was ranked in the top ten in the state and earned the number one seed in the central west division. Matt was recognized as the US Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2007, 2008, & 2019. He has also coached at the club level for eight years with Rising Stars Lacrosse. Matt is committed to the development of young lacrosse players and helping them reach their potential, as he organizes and leads annual camps and clinics for youth development. Matt is also a Certified youth lacrosse coach and has coached at the youth level for the past 6 years. Matt is the Head Coach of the Littlenecks 2027 squad.
